Tijdens een nachtelijke busrit raakt loner Henry (Harris) in gesprek met Paul (Mouzakis), die nog wel klusje weet mocht Henry snel wat geld willen verdienen. Paul schuift Henry door naar beroepscrimineel Mark (Edgerton), die Henry introduceert bij zijn bazen en langzaam ontstaat er tussen de twee mannen iets wat lijkt op vriendschap. Maar niemand in deze broeierige en sombere film is wie hij zegt te zijn. Meesterlijk misdaaddrama van de Australische regisseur Wright, waarin de nadruk niet ligt op de misdaad maar op het voortreffelijk gespeelde drama.
