Self-described “an open-air entertainment destination featuring one-of-a-kind retail & restaurant concepts,” Wesley Chapel’s new shipping container destination Krate (stylized as “KRɅTE”) is the new go-to spot for all things food, drink and shopping.
Located at 6105 Wesley Grove Blvd. at The Grove, Krate features 55 unique concepts, an outdoor stage for events and presentations, and even an interactive play area for kiddos.
The 26,240 square-foot space has been in the works for over two years now, and is finally ready to celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, June 4.

According to the grand opening’s Facebook event page, festivities will run from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and include live music, family-fun, face painters, magic shows, art walls and bounce houses—alongside opportunities to try food and beverages from Krate's various culinary concepts.
With its official grand opening happening this week, about 70% of its businesses are already open with the rest debuting this summer, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Yummy Tabalas, speciality cheese shop, modern Latin restaurant Mojo Grill, Provisions Coffee and Kitchen, The Fryroom, which specializes in beer-battered doughnuts, El Prince Mediterranean Cuisine, Tast’y Ramen, Venezuelan restaurant Chamos and Hawaiian concept Palani are just a few Krate food concepts that are currently open.
A couple of Krate’s retail spots and boutiques include The Rebellious Hippie, All Good Things, The Gold Box and Katie Beth’s Boutique—as most of them specialize in small batch crafts, accessories and other goods. Additional businesses include a flower shop and beauty salon, according to ThatsoTampa.
Different businesses slated to debut throughout the summer include Bebo’s Philly Cheesesteaks, 2 Extreme Tattoos, Grove Cigars, We Rock Rocks and Italian spot Cafe 365, among many, many more.
The entire shipping container park is a wet zone as well, so parents can window shop while sipping on some beer or wine.
